What is Bold?
Text wrapped in two asterisks (**like this**) that renders in heavy weight for emphasis.
Why it matters
It's the fastest way to make a word stand out without touching a menu or a toolbar button.
How it works
Wrap the text in ** on both sides. Combine with italics using three asterisks for bold italic.
Examples
- `**important**` → important
- `***very important***` → bold and italic at once
